As long as there have been reality TV shows, there have been reality TV stars using their fame to launch products - some of which have been very successful. Fans whoare old enough to remember Eric Nies from the first Real World seasonever back in 1992 will probably remember his subsequent release of workout videos. It may not have made any “best of” lists, but, thankfully, subsequent versions have improved since the initial release.

While some other star-made products unfortunately missed the mark - like the Kardashian sisters’ “Kardashian Card” - some made quite an impression. They proved that great ideas can come from the least likely of places… like reality television.

Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner

The product line by the youngest star of Keeping up with the Kardashians is responsible for making her the wealthiest member of the reality TV family. With those kind of numbers and that kind of success, there is no doubt that plenty of people are fans of the product - and it doesn’t look to be going anywhere in the near future.

Skinnygirl by Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel turned her reality fame not only into a product, but an entire lifestyle brand. There is no doubt about the success of the Skinnygirl brand or that it has inspired many reality TV stars to try their hand at products of their own in hopes of catching even a fraction of the magic the Real Housewives of New York star has found in her products. From margaritas to popcorn, this product line has had one hit after another.

LC Lauren Conrad by Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad, star of The Hills, has had multiple successful clothing lines at various price points, but her current product line spans clothing, jewelry, shoes, and even home goods. Available at Kohl’s, Conrad is strongly featured as one of the affordable department store’s main brands.
