Here are all of the celebrity cameos in Netflix’s Between Two Ferns: The Movie. Created by Zach Galifianakis and Scott Aukerman, the new Netflix comedy/mockumentary is an adaptation of Funny Or Die’s viral videos Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis, the premise of which is the bearded host battering celebrities with awkward and insulting questions on a cable access talk show.
In Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Zach Galifianakis plays a version of himself and he stars in a documentary about his low-rent show, which is sponsored by Funny Or Die’s Will Ferrell. Although Galifinakis interviews major celebrities on Between Two Ferns thanks to Ferrell’s clout, Zach dreams of going to Hollywood and hosting a national late-night talk show. Finally, Ferrell gives him his chance: if Galifianakis can get ten shows with major celebrities on his own and then take the footage to Hollywood, Ferrell will make sure Zach gets his dream job. So Galifianakis and his loyal crew, which includes his producer Carol (Lauren Lipkis), his camera operator Cam (Ryan Gaul), and his sound mixer Boom Boom (Jiavani Linayao) take a road trip across America to interview celebrities wherever they can find them.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie takes its cues from similar mockumentaries like This Is Spinal Tap, Borat, and Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping. While the focus is on the struggles of Galifianakis and his beleaguered crew trying to throw their ad hoc show together in different locations, the real draw of Between Two Ferns is the scores of celebrities who appear and willingly subject themselves to Galifianakis’ rude and hilariously vicious questions.
Galifianakis’ Funny Or Die viral videos had huge stars like Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, and even President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has guests. Naturally, Netflix’s feature-length version rises to the occasion and nabs almost two dozen major names. Here is every celebrity cameo in Between Two Ferns: The Movie.
