Netflix will premiere a special Valentine’s Day episode of their raunchy animated series Big Mouth, co-created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett. “My Furry Valentine” will premiere on the streaming platform later this month, just in time for the holiday.

This new special installment will bring all of the familiar Big Mouth crew back ahead of its eventual third season premiere. Viewers will get a little extra time with the series’ stellar cast, led by Kroll, Jessi Klein, and John Mulaney. Netflix announced a third season renewal of Big Mouth after another critically successful go bowed in 2018. The new season arrives later this year at a yet-to-be-announced date. Over the first two seasons of Big Mouth, the show has also enjoyed the contributions of talented folks from the comedy world including, Jenny Slate, Jason Mantzoukas, Andrew Rannells, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, and of course, Connie herself, Maya Rudolph.

The trailer released online courtesy of Netflix, and runs just over one minute. The Big Mouth Valentine’s Day special will see Nick Birch (Kroll), Andrew Glouberman (Mulaney), Jessi Glaser (Klein), Jay Bilzerian (Mantzoukas), Missy Foreman-Greenwald (Slate) and the rest of the cast grappling with the annual amorous holiday.  Check out the trailer for the episode below:

What exactly is Netflix promising viewers when they tune in to the Big Mouth Valentine’s Day special? Well, the new trailer announces viewers will want to make sure that they’re fully “[prepared] for all of the awkward anxieties Valentine’s Day brings.” When it comes to an adult animated series about a group of kids coming to terms with their sexuality and transition into adulthood, viewers can be sure “My Furry Valentine” will keep things nice and embarrassing - and awkwardly hilarious.

Although it runs just over one minute, the teaser is enough for this half-hour animated comedy. Viewers get to see all the regular players, including some humorous “script-flipping” with Nick and Connie having a gender-reversal staging of the iconic restaurant scene from Rob Reiner’s When Harry Met Sally from 1989. Nick playing the Meg Ryan role in this case, with Connie filling the shoes of the enamored but restrained Billy Crystal.

Netflix has targeted the holiday season many times before. In the past, multiple shows have produced Christmas specials, including BoJack Horseman, which launched an episode of its decades-old show-within-a-show “Horsin’ Around.” Last December also saw the surprise return of Netflix’s beloved and wonderfully crafted anime Neo Yokio with an episode called “Pink Christmas.” Not to mention the Valentine’s related Michael Bolton special, Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special. That one hour special came from the members of the comedy teams of The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone) and Comedy Bang Bang (specifically Scott Aukerman). Netflix also debuted Chris Rock’s first stand-up special in 10 years, Tamborine, on Valentine’s Day
