In the superhero world, there are many hypothetical fights that people want to see happen, and one of those is certainly Wolverine against Black Panther. Pitting the X-Men character against the Avengers member would create a very intriguing match.
There’s no doubt that the two characters have many similarities. Their fighting styles are both very similar to each other and while they have very different personalities, a fight between them would likely be a very closely fought encounter.
However, if they did fight, there would have to be a winner at some stage, no matter what. Within this list, we will give five reasons for why each man could win the fight.
Wolverine: Experience
Because of Wolverine’s regenerating abilities, the characters is someone who has been around for quite a while. Due to that factor, he certainly has the advantage when it comes to experience, and that is something that would serve him well against Black Panther.
Throughout his life, Wolverine has fought against all manner of people with different abilities, and he has always managed to come out on top. Because of his experience, he would likely have faced something similar to Black Panther before, which would serve him well.
Black Panther: Agility
He might not have as much experience as Wolverine, but something he does have the upper hand on is agility. There’s a reason he has the Panther in his name, and that’s because he’s an incredibly agile person. He is able to move around very comfortably and with quick speed.
This is something that would certainly help him get the best of any fight against Wolverine with his speed being able to not only be useful in attacking him, but also evading anything that Wolverine throws at him.
Wolverine: The Claws
When you look at the two of them, there is one clearly obvious way that the X-Men member could get the upper hand, which is through his claws. It’s a clear weapon that he has in his favor and if Wolverine ever caught the Black Panther with them, then he would be dominating.
There’s little that can be done to stop these incredibly powerful forces just tearing things to shreds, which is why so many of his foes have gone down against him. Having a weapon like this as part of his body allows him t do things in a fluid motion, and it really does stand him in good stead.
Black Panther: His Suit
As we have seen in his MCU appearances, Black Panther’s suit is a weapon within itself at times. The suit can absorb a certain level of punishment and then explode, sending waves of that power towards others in his way. This makes it not only something that will help protect him, but also hurt people.
Taking a few shots from Wolverine only to fire back against him twice as hard is something that could give him the advantage he needs in a fight against the mutant. It’s also something that Wolverine wouldn’t be expecting, as nobody seems to see this coming.
Wolverine: X-Men
One of the big reasons that Wolverine would stand a good chance in a fight with Black Panther is because of the people he could call upon to back him up. As a key member of the X-Men, there’s no doubt that Wolverine would be able to call on his friends if needed.
With the wide range of powers that the group possesses, there’s no doubt that they would be able to cause some problems for Black Panther. Professor X, in particular, would be very useful in terms of locating Black Panther and helping him prepare.
Black Panther: The Avengers
While Wolverine has the X-Men backing him up, Black Panther would be able to call upon plenty of friends as well. He just happens to be friends with The Avengers, who is certainly not a bad bunch of people to ask for help in a big fight.
While this would turn things into an epic X-Men vs Avengers fight, it could easily be led by both men who have those sort of qualities within them. Which group would come out on top is anybody’s guess though, as they each have incredible characters.
Wolverine: Pure Aggression
While Wolverine is one of the greatest heroes of all time, that doesn’t mean he can’t display tons of aggression. Wolverine is well-known for having a very short temper, and he has an aggressive personality that is able to go along with that.
This makes him very difficult to deal with in a fight because there are no levels he won’t stop at to hurt someone. His aggression can cause a lot of difficulties for anyone who dares cross him, and while Black Panther is a strong fighter, he doesn’t have that same level of aggression within him.
Black Panther: Smarter
While Wolverine’s brain might be wired in an incredibly aggressive manner, Black Panther’s is one that is very intelligent. He is a smart thinker and has great brains, hence why he is able to work in a political manner outside of fighting.
Black Panther would likely be able to out-think Wolverine in every possible way. While he might take a few shots, to begin with, there’s no doubt he would be able to create a plan within the moment that Wolverine wouldn’t be able to handle.
Wolverine: Regenerating
While everyone thinks about his power, speed, and claws as Wolverine’s greatest assets, his best strength is arguably his regenerative ability. The fact that he can repair himself from most wounds allows him to constantly keep coming back, no matter how much of a beating he takes.
His ability to keep returning to the fight could see Black Panther be worn out, making things very difficult for the MCU star to deal with. He has been able to take a lot of punishment throughout his life in many major fights, and this ability has always served him well.
Black Panther: Technology
While Wolverine is always going to be a difficult opponent to fight against, when you have the technology that Black Panther has at his disposal, it should be a little easier. Wakanda is one of the most technologically advanced areas in the world within the comics and MCU, and therefore there’s no doubt that he would have an ace up his sleeve.
Whether it be a new suit, an added power, or something that would make him invincible to Wolverine’s claws, Wakanda could easily arm Black Panther to win this fight. Having that technology behind him gives Black Panther the upper hand in any situation, and that includes facing Wolverine.
