With BlackBerry Blend, users will be able to sync content (including BlackBerry messages) from their BlackBerry handset to the larger screen of a tablet or a PC. So the idea is similar to what Apple announced with Continuity feature for iOS 8. You can keep track of everything happening on your BlackBerry without needing to take it out when you’re at your desk. The corresponding (client) apps will be available for Windows, Mac, Android tablets and iPads. Although the app is pre-loaded on the newly announced BlackBerry Passport and P9883 phones, BlackBerry has made it clear that Blend will come to other BB 10 smartphones currently in the market, with the upcoming BB 10.3.1 OS update. John Chen, the CEO of BlackBerry had this to say about Blend. Blend brings all your BBM and text messages from your BlackBerry smartphone to an integrated messaging hub now available on your computer and tablet. You can also save files from your computer to your BlackBerry smartphone so they are accessible on any device connected to BlackBerry Blend. If you are on BES10 you can securely access your company intranet and other corporate resources through your Work Browser like corporate email or view and edit address book. The system will be accessible via browser and can be controlled as well.
