Since it’s Bi Visibility Week, it’s worth taking time to note some important bisexual characters on television today. Bob’s Burgers is a show that includes LGBT characters in a way that is normalizing and accepting, and there are definitely more than a couple of characters on this show who are queer.

Bob Belcher himself is definitely one of these characters, and there are others who have been confirmed to be on the bisexual spectrum as well as those who likely could be. Here are ten characters from Bob’s Burgers that could be bisexual.

10. ZEKE

A thing that many bisexual people can relate to is not recognizing their sexuality when they are kids. While this isn’t true for everyone, the way our culture makes it so that bisexuality isn’t as talked about. While there isn’t any explicit proof of Zeke’s sexuality in Bob’s Burgers, the way he seems really invested in Jimmy Jr. gives some indication.

He loves to wrestle with Jimmy Jr., and the two are quite obsessed with friendship. While they could just be friends, this is an experience that many queer people might relate to.

9. AUNT GAYLE

Aunt Gayle is one of the most eccentric characters on a show that’s filled with eccentric characters. While she’s only shown dating men on the series, there is one line that gives a clue to the fact she could be bisexual.

This is in the exact episode where Bob talks about the fact that he’s “mostly straight.” Linda tells him that Gayle set a fire in her apartment, and she did so by putting her dental dams in the dryer. While this doesn’t exactly mean she’s bi, it’s usually only queer women who use these.

8. NAT

Nat might be a minor character on the show who only featured in one episode, but she definitely left an impact. She appears in the episode “V for Valentine-detta” and is a limo driver. She is a person who reads as a queer woman.

She rocks a pink suit with a bow tie, and she overall seems to be more masculine-presenting. While this doesn’t mean she has any specific sexuality, she definitely seems like someone who would be on the LGBT spectrum.

7. TEDDY

Now, Teddy might be someone from Bob’s Burgers that you wouldn’t think would be on this list because in many ways he fits in with more typical straight male stereotypes. He is a handyman, for one thing, and he’s only ever shown dating or being interested in women.

However, his love for Bob sometimes seems like he might have a crush on him. Teddy is rather in touch with his emotions, and he’s definitely interested in Bob and their friendship. While this could just be a friendship, it wouldn’t be surprising if he had a small crush.

6. TINA

Tina might not give any indication that she’s bi so far, but she is still in junior high. While her only love interests have been boys, mainly Jimmy Jrit’s not easy to imagine that she could be somewhere on the LGBT spectrum. For one thing, she’s rather in touch with her sexuality, and she has no issue with writing fan fiction and erotic friend fiction.

While she could be straight, she also seems like someone who, as they get older and figure themselves out more, wouldn’t have any issues with dating a woman or person of another gender.

5. GENE

One thing that Bob’s Burgers fans love so much about Gene is that he bucks so many gender stereotypes. He refers to himself often as both a boy or a girl, and he doesn’t seem to have any qualms identifying with typical feminine things and typical masculine things.

While this doesn’t necessarily mean his sexuality is for sure bi, it’s easy to see that he could apply this same chill, open attitude to whomever he has crushes on. He definitely seems like someone who could fall on the queer spectrum.

4. DALTON CRESPIN

Dalton Crespin is another minor character on the show. He’s a blogger who reviews brunch places, and he checks out the restaurants. While there isn’t much information about him as a character, he also appears in the episode “The Blackening” where he attends the underground rave with other queer characters, Marshmallow and Marbles.

It’s also said that he has a boyfriend who he had recently broken up with before the dance. While he might be gay instead of bi, he’s for sure a queer character.

3. MARSHMALLOW

Marshmallow is a lovely side character on the show who becomes friends with Bob during his brief stint as a cab driver. Marshmallow is a transgender sex worker, so she is definitely an LGBT person. However, her sexuality isn’t known or identified.

While transgender people can have any sexual identity and orientation, there are some that also identify as bisexual or gay. In fact, there is for sure some overlap between the bi+ community and the transgender community.

2. THE BUTCHER

The Butcher at the local grocery store where Bob gets turkeys for Thanksgiving is definitely an iconic character on the show. This is because he definitely gets Bob to think about and realize his own bisexuality.

While this character does talk about having relationships with men, it’s not explicitly stated what his sexual orientation is. Regardless, he is for sure a queer character, and fans loved seeing him flirt with Bob even if Bob is happily and loyally married to Linda.

1. BOB

Bob himself is the main character that most fans associate with being bisexual on the show. This is because, during the “Turkey in a Can” episode, he responds to the advances of the butcher at the store by saying that he’s “mostly straight.”

There are also other episodes where he mentions men being attractive. While he definitely is in a monogamous relationship with Linda, he clearly has an interest in men and finds them attractive.
