Borderlands 3 contains the most guns ever in a video game with a grand total of over one billion. Here’s how to find the legendary Facepuncher Shotgun. Borderland 3 introduces the world to four brands new vault hunters, FL4K, Amara, Zane, and Moze. Each character has their own specific move sets that make them stand out from one another. Players explore this giant wasteland full of sidequests and loot to collect. This 35-hour adventure follows our scavenger heroes as they join Lillith’s Crimson Raiders who are sent to investigate the Children of the Vault cult and the Calypso twins. On their adventure, randomly generated guns will appear, varying in rarity, quality, and value. This guide will help players locate the legendary Face Puncher Shotgun.

The Face Puncher Shotgun is high in rarity amongst the weapons found in the wasteland. Its damage output is increased by melee bonuses. The higher the melee stat, the more damage the shotgun does. Despite it being a shotgun, it actually doesn’t receive bonuses for shotgun damage. Also, Amara’s Illuminated Fist skill increases the damage of the weapon by 75%. This is a valuable weapon for players who are focusing on constructing a physical build for a character. It essentially is a gun that can shoot fist. Here’s how to find it.

How To Get The Face Puncher Shotgun in Borderland 3

The Face Puncher can be found randomly within some loot boxes. Although, there’s a method in increasing the likeness of it spawning. To increase the chance to roll for this gun, head to Skywell-27 on Promethea and search for Handsome Jackie. Handsome Jackie is a mini-boss that often respawns in this location. She can be found wearing a mask that looks like Handsome Jack. Kill Handsome Jackie to get her to drop the shotgun. It may take a few attempts, so warp out and return for her to respawn. Repeat this process until she drops the Face Puncher Shotgun.

While the game is loaded with one million guns, much of these are randomly generated with different perks and statistics. Only a few hundred weapons from assault rifles and weapon modifications classify as a legendary weapon. Other shotguns like the Brainstormer or the Conference Call can be located on Hyperion as well. If players are trying to collect all the legendary weapons, it’s effective to do them all in one geographic location at a time so players aren’t constantly warping back and forth.

Borderlands 3 is actually the fourth mainline title in the series. This entry also introduced different terrains which are appreciated when compared to previous entries that had players searching an empty desert or a frozen wasteland for the entire game. This mix-up adds plenty of variety in exploration. It also adds to the gameplay, as each of these areas has its own enemy types. Exploring these areas with friends and finding loot together is truly a bonding experience.
